Whilst the foundation of a good Kennel lies in their Bitch line, their
Escutcheon is so often, an outstanding Dog.
Like his legendary adversary Leo Africanis, a truly great
Rhodesian Ridgeback male somehow exudes the very essence of the
Breed. Indeed, that T C T C synergy of Type,
Conformation, Temperament and Character, is
essential in a classic example of any breed. Facets, which when combined, make
it unique from all others.
A dog which aspires to this great role must be researched, bred,
selected and reared with great care. Particularly if his progeny are to
influence and enhance the Breed. At Umjumi there has been just the
one - to date. Our late, beloved Duma. However, a befitting son and
heir, has arrived! Out of our beautiful, highly acclaimed
Champion Roodedraai Lindela, he is already exuding the quality of his
noble birthright.
