Poetry in Motion This beautiful bitch joined the Umjumi gang at the end of August 2008, after her renowned breeder/owner Yvonne du Preez of the Roodedraai Kennel sadly passed away, at the ripe old age of 90 years. With her sound temperament and indomitable spirit, Tuku was immediately welcomed by the rest of the team and continues to blossom under the love, care and attention all our hounds receive. Bred in the purple, Tuku is a classically outstanding example of the Breed, displaying all the required aspects in equal measure, with that certain panache which typifies a consistent winner. Her show career bears testament to this, after her stunning debut at the Bloemfontein Kennel Club Show in 2005, where she took the Bitch CC from the puppy class. Indeed Tuku was virtually unbeaten in her 2 year Show career, before taking an early retirement in October 2007. However, a comeback is underway this year, when she will be expertly handled by Carol Field. Conscious of her eminent Roodedraai legacy, a litter from Tuku is planned later this year.
